The 28's helm station is positioned to offer the helmsman superb all around vision. From the boats conception, we wanted the helm position to be a part of the cockpit - where all the action happens! We have achieved our aim, while at the same time creating another zone all together: the Semifly bridge. This is a new concept in trailer boating, offering the benefits of a raised helm without the top-heaviness of a full flybridge and keeping the height on the trailer manageable for towing.
Two steps take you down from the Semifly bridge to the cockpit, where there is plenty of space for all marine activities. The walk-around engine cover barely intrudes on the cockpit. All materials are low maintenance and the Tekdek-covered sole looks like real teak but without teak's ongoing maintenance issues.
The cockpit can be customised to suit your choice of leisure activities: additional seating; extra storage; a swimstep/duckboard for diving and swimming access; and outdoors cooking options.
The engine bay is clean and roomy with easy access to the boat's critical equipment. A heavy duty epoxy paint finish is used so that even the smallest fluid leak will not go unnoticed. The engine bay is comprehensively sound-insulated; the engine breathes clean, dry air ducted through baffles from the outside of the hull, greatly reducing noise in the cockpit.

The forward cabin offers spacious accommodation for a boat of this length, due to its design and construction. It is comfortable and stylish down below, but practical, too, Dickey Boats using materials chosen specifically for their utility.
The forward V-berth seating around a saloon-style table serves as two single berths or else converts into a good-sized double. A fully functional galley with fridge, cooker, sink and storage occupies the cabin's port side.
A full-time double berth lies across the full beam of the boat, low and amidships, for a very comfortable sleep. To starboard side is a very roomy bathroom with a toilet, shower and basin - comforts not often found on a boat of this size.
