Dickey Boats is excited about the newly created role of Sales Technician in our Sales and Service team.

This is a full-time, salaried position at our Napier, New Zealand facility.  For the right candidate we would consider part time.‍

Role Overview:‍

• Reporting directly to the Sales and Service Manager, as part of a small dedicated team focused on enhancing the customer experience from first contact, through the build, and over the horizon.
• Assisting the Sales and Service manager with communications outside and inside the organisation.
• Assisting the sales and service manager with preparing quotes and ensuring changes are communicated and managed to expectations.
• Utilise your practical boating experience to engage with customers and create relationships that last.
• Assist the sales and service manager manage service and maintenance schedules, ensuring technical excellence and reliability throughout our fleet of vessels.
• Ensure all customer interactions and decisions are communicated throughout the business during each individual build.‍

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Passion for boating and marine.  Could be from your own experience or working within the industry.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to interface effectively with a wide range of people.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality service with a customer-focused approach.
• Proficient and experience with a range of programs.  Eg. Excel, Outlook, CRM’s, Microsoft.
  

The role could be grown if you have the following:

• A professional background in mechanical engineering or skippering.
• Ability to skipper vessels confidently up to 60foot.
